Word’s Out about our Outsmart the Summer Spike campaign

Our new campaign (repeat after us: tips instead of more TV, tips instead of more TV) is now in full swing. Here’s some of the very cool (and much appreciated) coverage we’ve been getting across the web — just in case you’ve been wondering. Because, well, maybe you have.

Kimberly Keith, About.com’s Child Parenting Guide, awarded the Smart Television Alliance web site as “Site of the Week” calling it “a great resource for making smart choices for family TV entertainment.” Aw.

Big Binder, a blogger in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, mentioned the campaign and highlighted the blog as a good resource for “suggestions for crafts and activities for kids to do as an alternative to watching TV or more accurately, watching more TV. “

Mamanista mentioned our new campaign in a post on summertime activities for kids.

My Readable Feast covered the campaign launch and brought attention to our petition to TV producers and our daily tips for the summer… which sparked this reaction from thereadingtub.

We were also mentioned by Gizmo Lovers and on TiVoCommunity.com.

Plus, one of our favorite blogs ever, Jezebel, recently referenced our post on The N’s new study, “The Story of Girl.”

Thanks, everybody. And keep tuning in. (To us, that is.)
